Chemical Plant in Pancevo and Novi Sad Rafinery are in the focus of the study of the Fund. The experts of the Fund have, in German labs, detected high concentrations of cancerous substances like dioxine and mercury in the specimens taken from air and soil”. It was pointed out that the substances polluted water and soil not only in Yugoslavia but in the neighbouring countries by Philippe Vilair, head of the Fund. He added that “it is difficult to determine the level of pollution before the bombing, but it is clear that the result of bombing is pollution”.
